Qualified Candidates interested in filing for the Southern Boone County Board of Education may do so between December 16, 2008 – January 20, 2009 in the superintendent’s office. The office will be open 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. December 18, 2008 – January 22, 2009 (Monday through Friday) when school is in session. The days that school is not in session the office will be open 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Filing time will be extended until 5:00 p.m. on January 22, 2009.  The office will be closed on December 24, 2008, December 25, 2008 and January 1, 2009. There are two positions available on the Board for which filing is necessary.

In order to qualify as a candidate you must be a resident and taxpayer of the district and be at least twenty-four (24) years of age.
