The Space Place

Games to explore new concepts as well as to "test" how much you know.

These sites were chosen based on their level of interaction and immediate usefulness. Other sites which were mostly text were left out of this listing. The sites on the right are particularly engaging in their graphics.

The above listed sites were located using the following search strategy:

  • Using Yahooligans I selected the space directory to find age appropriate sites for the kids to use
  • Using Alta Vista I searched -- outer space and elementary and experiments and lesson. (The first two descriptors being the original search and the last two added to further narrow my topic.)
  • Using Google I searched -- outer space and elementary and interactive and lessons
  • I was able to narrow the number of listing by adding other more specific descriptors such as "space station" or "planets." Due to my wide range goal, the more multipurpose topics were more appropriate.
