Philosophy
of Doniphan Schools The purpose of Doniphan R-1 School is to provide quality education in a functional and safe environment for all school age children within the district. The learning experiences offered at Doniphan R-1 Schools are designed to challenge students' abilities in academics and to develop basic skills and knowledge. These experiences are balanced by programs designed to meet the students' physical, social, aesthetic, and emotional needs and interests. The Doniphan R-1 School District accepts the responsibility of working with parents and community toward the preparing of students who are capable of responding to projected social demands and who are committed to assuming their future roles as productive and responsible citizens in a democracy that they love and respect. The district is committed to accomplish these goals by functioning as an open system and maintaining a cooperative relationship with the parents and community. Doniphan R-1 School District will provide qualified administrative, instructural, and operational staff which is aware of the conditions and needs of the district.
