Golf Seniors

What does the golf team do?

They compete in tournaments across South East Missouri.  Playing  in places like Farmington, Kennett, and Poplar Bluff.  They play some of the nicest courses in the area.

 Schedule

At the start of the school year they practice on their own at Sycamore Hills Golf Course near Doniphan.  This is a 9 hole golf course with two par threes, two par fives, and five par fours.  After they've practiced on their own up to the start of the season in March they'll have a tournament almost every two or three days, every week for about three months; starting in March.

Joining the team

There is a meeting at the beginning of the year that you must attend, and you sign a list.  A few days later a list will be posted that will tell you what day your try-outs will be held .  Then you show up for your try-outs and do your best.  A few days later a list will be posted with he names of the players who made the team.

Playing on the team

In order to play on the team, you must have your own set of golf clubs.  Coach has very strict rules on borrowing clubs.  If you have to borrow clubs from other players every game, then coach will not let you play.  If you do make the team then you will receive a team shirt and a dozen golf balls.
