Mrs. Payne is Doniphan's High School and Junior High Choral Director.  She's also a Junior High General Music teacher.  Mrs. Payne has taught at Doniphan for seven years.  Before Doniphan, she taught High School Choir and Band at Mountain Grove for 11 years.

Mrs. Payne's husband is Kevin Payne.  They have three children.  Geoffrey is 14, Kiera is 11, and Erica is 9.  She enjoys canoeing, swimming, working with children at church, reading, and, of course, various styles of music and music events.

Throughout her teaching career, Mrs. Janet Payne's favorite memories include "sharing so much beautiful music with so many fun and talented students" and all of the trips to College of the Ozarks and Silver Dollar City. On the trips, she gets to know her student better in a fun, relaxed setting.
