Mrs. Brenda Pigg

Mrs. Pigg is one of our school's devoted music teachers.  She teaches one high school Band class, one Middle School Band class, two Beginning Band classes, one high school Jazz Band class, and one General Music class. She has taught at Doniphan for eight years.  She sponsors Band Club and the DHS Flagline.  Her favorite memories are the silly string fights her High School Band students have before the Portageville Parade.  This has become a tradition for the class.

Mrs. Pigg attended Arkansas State University.  She has a   Bachelor's degree in Business Education and in Instrument Certification. She completed her Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment at Walden University.

Though she is currently a music teacher, she hasn't always been one.  She was a banker for fifteen years.  She is a licensed agent for Shelter Insurance where her husband, Nace Pigg, is also an insurance agent.  They have been married for twenty-five years. They have one son, Michael, who is 21. A couple of her favorite hobbies are embroidery and reading.
