Lathrop Elementary had a great turnout for our kickoff pizza night for Watch D.O.G.S. This program is used to encourage dads to get involved in their child’s school. Those that volunteer to be a Watch Dog will spend one day at our school helping throughout the building in the classrooms, lunchroom, playground, and hallways. If there were any dads that couldn’t make the pizza night and are interested in volunteering, please call the office and we will get them signed up. We will begin having Watch Dogs on a regular basis starting in December. McTeacher’s Night is Tuesday, November 10th, from 4:00-8:00 at the Kearney McDonald’s. Come in and eat at McDonald’s and see our teachers working behind the counter and helping throughout the restaurant. McDonald’s will donate 20% of all sales during the McTeacher’s Night to the school to help out with various activities and events in the elementary. We are looking forward to working at McTeacher’s Night and hope to see all of you there. Have a great week!
