G.Y.M. Club

The G.Y.M. Club ( Great Young Men ) is a club at the Elementary level that brings our 4th and 5th grade boys together to learn about leadership, life goals, and have fun with friends. To be a part of this club, 4th and 5th grade boys need only to sign up but must meet G.Y.M. club requirements to attend. The club will be mentored by Mr. Booth, Mr. Overfield, and Mr. Melton . We will meet once a month for one hour after school for after school meetings and fun activities.

We require extra effort when it comes to behavior and academics. GRADES and CHARACTER are closely monitored by the three mentors and any issue with either of the two requirements mentioned results in a meeting with his mentors. Students with regular attendance and that meet the academic and character requirements will be invited to attend the end of year G.Y.M. club event.

The hope is that this club will provide a place for our 4th and 5th grade boys to grow as young men. Please note that parents are always invited to all events as they are the most important part of a young boys journey in life. If you would like to volunteer or if you have questions regarding our G.Y.M. club, please contact Erik Melton at the Louisiana Elementary Office 573-754-6904.
