Project Evaluation Form

What is the Merit Badge Program?

  • Fourth graders in Mrs. Lori Mathys's and Miss Lisa Spurling's classes at California Elementary School are invited to participate in a FUN and CHALLENGING program that enriches the classroom curriculum and encourages students to take their learning to new heights.
  • For each unit of study in Science and Social Studies, the students are given a list of project ideas.
  • Every Friday, the projects are presented in class. Projects that earn at least 9 out of 10 points possible on the Project Evaluation Form earn a sash and a merit badge.
  • This project was initially funded in 2000 with a mini-grant from the Central District of the Missouri State Teacher's Association.
