Elks National Foundation    $1000 - $1500         Dec. 1

This is the largest scholarship organization in the United States(three and half million dollars will be given in scholarship from Elks this year).  They have many scholarships listed on the web www.elks.org.  Most Valuable Student Scholarship Competition-500 awarded this year. See Mrs. Selby for more information.

Twin City Garden Club Scholarship $350               Dec. 10

To be eligible for the Twin City Scholarship, a student must live in Moniteau County, be a gradutating senior, have at least "B" average, and plan to major in the areas of plant and soil science, horticulture, forestry, natural resources, agronomy, enviormental sciences, landscape design, or related subject or education of these areas.  See Mrs. Selby for an application.

John Dennis Scholarship                                    Jan. 31

This scholarship is for $500 and will be awarded to a high school senior planning to pursue a degree in criminal justice.  More information is available at www.mosheriffs.com/scholarship.

Walmart-Scholarship                                          Feb. 1

Sam Walton Community Scholarship is available to graduating seniors at www.walmartfoundation.org

MU Business Scholarships                                  Feb. 1

The Robert J. Trulaske Scholarship in Business, Sam M. Walton Scholarship in Retail, and the Ponder Minority Scholarship require a separate MU application from the general scholarship application.  This application and its directions are found at www.business.missouri.edu/scholarships

**MFA Foundation Scholarship                        March 15

**Home Builders Association of Central Missouri                   April 1

Students need to be interested in the building industry to be eligible for this scholarship.   See Mrs. Selby for an application.

 

** Cole County Farm Bureau                                                    April 15

Application available in Mrs. Selby’s office.    Student must be a resident of Cole County.

 

** Missouri FarmHouse Alumni Scholarship                           April 15

The $1000 Missouri FarmHouse Alumni Scholarship is available to any male high school senior planning to attend MU in the fall.

1.  Lillie Lois Ford—Attended Boys state or Cadet Patrol Academy

2.      M. D. “Jack” Murphy Memorial Nurses Training Fund—Top 40% of graduating class, degree in nursing

3.      Joseph J. Frank Scholarship – Attended Boys State or Girls State

4.      Charles L. Bacon Memorial Scholarship—Descendant of a member or American Legion

5.      Erman W. Taylor Memorial Scholarship—Descendant of a veteran

6.      Shane Dean Voyles Memorial Scholarship – Recipient selected on athletic, scholastic and leadership abilities.

 

**Alpha Gamma Sigma Scholarship                      $500                    May 1
