ACT Prep Shop @ Missouri Western State University: This will be held over 5 sessions from Saturday, February 28th - March 28th, 2009. The workshops will be from 9 am - 1 pm. Cost is $141.50. See Mr. Jackson to register.
Parents/Seniors: Vocational Rehabilitation applications are in Mr. Jackson's office. This is a great service for students that have a disability to receive money for college or help finding a job. Some disabilities that would fall under this category would be sports injuries, asthma or even allergies. Please see Mr. Jackson ASAP if you are interested or if you have any questions regarding this service.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
Missouri Western State University will be holding a "Financing Your College Education" meeting on January 29th and February 24th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. The meeting is free and it is a great opportunity to find out good information on financial aid. You do not have to be going to Missouri Western to attend the meetings. See Mr. Jackson for more information.
College Goal Sunday will be held on Sunday, February 8th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Missouri Western State University in Leah Spratt Hall, Room 101 and at Northwest Missouri State University in Colden Hall, Room 1200. This is a time where parents and students can get individual help in filling out your FAFSA to receive financial aid for college. See Mr. Jackson if you need more information.
North Andrew will now be providing ACT Workshops available for North Andrew students planning on taking the ACT during the 2008-2009 school year. The workshops will run from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and lunch and drinks will be provided. Registration includes $20, which is due the Monday before the workshop. Students will be reimbursed $15 for completing the entire workshop that day, with the other $5 covering the cost for lunch and drinks. The workshop will be geared towards increasing student's content knowledge and also improving student's test taking strategies. Students may also earn a $25 stipend for scoring 25 or higher on the ACT if they attend the workshops. Listed below are the dates of the workshops and also the registration dates.
