ASBESTOS PUBLIC NOTICE

The Seneca R-7 school district has asbestos in the elementary school.  The asbestos is located in the window panels which are above the ceiling.  The panels are located in the old halls in the east side of the west hall, east side of the middle hall and the south cross hall.  All of the asbestos is non-friable and does not pose a health threat as long as it is not disturbed.  The district has been gradually replacing the windows e\which contain asbestos with new insulated windows.  The High School and Middle School buildings, to the best of my knowledge, contain no Asbestos (ACBM).  The district has an asbestos management plan located at 914 Frisco.  If you have any questions, please contact Lonnie Steele, maintenance supervisor for Seneca R-7 School District, at 417-776-3392.
