The VBHS Scholarship Foundation was formed to provide funding for scholarships to VBHS graduates through the AAA Performance Incentive Program. This program provides scholarships for students meeting basic academic, attendance, and attitude standards to attend Three Rivers Community College for a period of two years with tuition, books, and standard fees paid. The program also reimburses students for the tuition paid for TRCC courses taken while in high school. As of Fall 2005, approximately $40,000 in scholarships have been paid for VBHS graduates.
The VBHS Scholarship Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. Through June 2006, the Foundation can also offer 50% Missouri Tax Credits on qualifying donations. One hundred percent (100%) of all donations directly benefit students through the AAA program.
